The Toyota Tonero’s power train (engine, torque converter and transmission) designed and manufactured by Toyota, is built to lift productivity and efficiency to the next level. The engine, the heart of our trucks, has been specifically built for industrial application purposes. The automatic single speed transmission facilitates high travel speed without gear change, while the dual stage torque convertor enables a high starting force. All these features also greatly contribute to lower fuel consumption and CO2 emission level. On top of it, the Toyota Tonero also comes with a variable displacement pump that supplies only the necessary amount of oil for various material handling functions. Whether in light or heavy loads handling, the oil is not used in excess at any time, which leads to energy efficiency and optimised consumption. The same goes for the load sensing power steering that manages the oil flow in the steering process.

System of Active Stability (SAS) lifts up your productivity. The SAS Fork Leveling Control ensures a quicker positioning of pallets, contributing to time-efficiency and less damage to goods or the equipment. The SAS Active Mast Control and the SAS Swing Lock Cylinder increase the driver confidence and generates overall higher productivity.

Purpose-built industrial engine. All Toyota engines are made in-house, continuing a long tradition for quality and long-term reliability. The Toyota Tonero engines are designed for industrial applications and bring great benefits depending on your requirements in different applications. The efficient Toyota 1KD common rail fuel injection engine with variable nozzle turbocharger offers high power and torque at low engine speed, enabling powerful acceleration, drive and lift speed. These compact and reliable engines offer optimised fuel injection and better combustion, leading to a lower fuel consumption than the Stage IIIB regulation requirements and a decrease in the CO2 emissions. The robust, durable and compact LPG/gasoline Toyota 1FS engine has electronic fuel injection and ignition without distributor. This brings optimised control of ignition timing, and improves the truck performance when driving and lifting. It also optimises fuel efficiency and engine emissions.

Options to drive performance. The Toyota Tonero can further be optimised with a range of individual choices: choose your pedal layout, material handling controls, and direction change system to increase your productivity. The Tonero also comes with a set of cabin options to enhance comfort and productivity in tough working conditions.

The large access window, low step-in height and large assist grip allow for easy entry and exit on both sides of the truck. The spacious floor area with comfortable pedal layout and fully adjustable ORS (Operator Restraint System) seat equipped with lumbar support offer optimal comfort. The Toyota Tonero benefits from a unique combination of a small diameter steering wheel with the SAS Active Steering Synchronizer for reduced fatigue and quick, easy turns.

Driving comfort

The large wheels increase driveability on uneven ground, creating a smooth ride. The low noise level and low truck vibration make working more comfortable. The load-sensing pump manages the oil flow for the power steering according to the load weight, and brings low-effort steering and increased operability. The informative display is easy to read and gives information about key parameters. The optional multifunction display allows for more parameter settings and functions such as eco-mode and engine auto stop. This product range offers various cabin options to suit all-weather conditions. The Deluxe cabin, for instance, proposes high comfort seat, heater and superb visibility.

The new Toyota Traigo 80, with a capacity range between 2000 kg and 3500 kg, was presented on summer 2013, putting the latest technology at the service of material handling. Its compact models for 2000 kg, 2500 kg and 3000 kg guarantee operations on small places.

Easy-to-use display

Most displays are complex and do not provide proper information when it is needed. Toyota Traigo 80 has the most intuitive display, leading to a higher operational efficiency. Deluxe's display also shows load's mass and mast's tilting.

Access step

The low height step to access the cabin is the widest available and TOYOTA is the only manufacturer which has it on both sides. In an emergency situation, where someone has to quickly get in or out the truck, having two easy to reach choices can make the difference.

Running and lifting speeds

Smooth and fast acceleration as well as its high maximum speed grant an outstanding horizontal performance. Drivers can choose between three power levels depending on operational modes. Standard mode "S" assures a minimum energy consumption, whereas high power mode "H" provides maximum performance. Mode "P" is the one between "S" and "H", delivering good performance and at the same time controlling consumption.

Toyota Traigo 80 establishes new standards on vertical operations and, therefore, increases productivity. It has high lifting and lowering rate functions and the option to set three different default heights. This improves productivity dramatically when working with repetitive patterns.

Fast battery change

Lateral extraction with a tray, or fork pockets, makes battery changes faster, more comfortable and more efficent. Always pioneering on fast battery changes, Toyota helps you maximise your productivity.

Tray can be extracted with any available forklift and can be handled as if it were a conventional pallet. No need of cranes or special machinery!
