History

Since 1965, Carretillas Barcelona has been providing material handling services. Throughout those years it has been evolving to adapt itself to the sector's continuous changes, and become what is today.

The company is created under the name Talleres Peña, in honour of its founder.

Carretillas Barcelona is created and developed to comercialise and provide service for TOYOTA's brand in Barcelona's province.

We open our current facilities, located in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, and both companies, due to an strategic decision of growth, start sharing resources to the benefit of our Toyota's customers.

Stronger Together. Toyota Material Handling España and Toyota Carretillas Barcelona join efforts in order to strengthen and increase Toyota's presence in Barcelona's region.

The overall growth situation evidenced the need to expand our facilites, with which 5.615 m² were acquired and transformed to a show room to satisfy this new demand.

Carretillas Barcelona begins the process of digital transformation and adaptation to INDUSTRY 4.0., To make Carretillas Barcelona a benchmark dealer for Toyota Material Handling, maximizing the main axes and DNA of the company: Customer service, brand proximity and excellence in service levels.

Carretillas Barcelona creates the Logistic Solutions division to offer logistics automation and intralogistics innovation solutions.

Facilities

Currently we have two buildings located in Can Vinyals' Industrial State, between Santa Perpètua de Mogoda and Sabadell. Such exceptional position allows us to rapidly reach any spot in Catalonia.

One of the buildings, of 2500 m², is assigned to be the workshop and offices. All operations and forklift's repairs that need special attention are coordinated from here. Furthermore, original TOYOTA BT's and multi-branded spare parts are sold and visitors are meet.

The other building is a 6215 m²warehouse set up to house more than 200 forklifts destined to the used market. These facilities grant us a wide variety of vehicles to fit almost every need that can appear.
